Jesus told a parable in Matthew 25:14-30 of servants who were given talents or resources by their master.
In fact, they were not only given the resources but told to make good use of them.
When we make a plan, we are able to make good use of our resources. Jesus was not averse to planning, in fact, he states:
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitting not down first, and counteth the cost…(Luke 14:28 KJV)
When we do not plan, we are heading nowhere.
