Feeling Overwhelmed?

Feeling Overwhelmed

Have you ever felt like giving up? Yes, like you have too much on your plate? Too much to do and too little of you? Well, I have felt that way sometimes. It is not so much a good place or a bad place, it really all depends on how you deal with it.

Focus

Such a state usually an indication that a system has broken, that you have said yes a few more times than you should. That you have not screened persons’ demands on your time, or you haven’t evaluated opportunities to select which ones should get your valued attention. You can’t focus on everything.

Rest

While wisdom supplies an answer to preserving you, you must understand that there is a greater need for the soul to be satisfied with rest. The state of being overwhelmed is not just felt physically, it is felt emotionally, spiritually and mentally. If it is not dealt with properly, it can cause you to say or do things which you really did not intend, or will eventually regret. What is needed is that you would regain control.

We often underestimate the value of rest to the soul, body, and spirit. When we rest we lean upon systems that have already been set in place to help us cope, but also win. When we rest in the Holy Spirit we mount up and we sour. When we lean upon the Lord our Rock, we have a sense of protection and keeping that anchors or soul (mind). We all need a sense of assurance and strengthening, and we all need others, once we have settled our inner context and environment, to help us preserve a healthy, happy, productive state.

Friendships

Friends will help to cushion to blows of life and bring relief in trying situations. Sometimes their kind words will give direction, help, strengthening that can ease the pressure. But most importantly keep you healthy and focused.

Team

A team, of course, are those who partner with you or at least help you in your cause. It may be relatives who give assistance or employed staff. However you may acquire them, they are given to sharing the responsibility of achieving a shared goal. Not having a team, or mismanaging one will cause you to feel overwhelmed.

More..perhaps another time.
